“Feeling Good Has Never Tasted Better”
Halo Top didn’t create ice cream for health-freaks or olympic athletes— they created ice cream for the average adult who wanted more nutritional value in their after dinner snack. Halo Top is high in protein, low in carbs and sugar and still manages to maintain a decadent taste. The brand was one of the first “healthier” ice cream options and has maintained dominance in the space by making smart branding decisions and expanding their flavor offerings.
My campaign idea has focused on Halo Top’s ability to help people reach their nutritional goals while still indulging in a good-tasting treat. Achieving proper nutrition can make you feel really good— good enough to ski a black diamond or hike to the top of a mountain. The tagline “Feeling Good Has Never Tasted Better” paired with visuals of people doing intense activities like skiing is meant to highlight how Halo Top can help you reach your goals while satisfying your sweet tooth. When you feel healthy you feel like you’re on Cloud 9— and like you could ski it. The social campaign would feature the hashtag #ReachYourTop to emphasize how eating Halo Top helps reach your full potential.

In keeping with the spirit of the print campaign, this is a video ad focused on “Feeling Good Has Never Tasted Better.”
ENT. A close up of skis tearing through snow. The skier races through the thick white fluff, expertly maneuvering around rocks and soaring over moguls.
SFX: The quick whoosh of skis cutting through snow
Skier: “We got an absolutely gnarly run out here today.”
Camera continues zooming out as the skier continues to fly down the hill.
Skier: “Buttering through an epic dump? Straight steezy, man.”
The camera continues to zoom out until the mountain comes into view and the skier becomes a speck among the white.
Skier: “Let me tell you— there’s no better feeling than carving pow’ on a black D under a bluebird. Jib!”
The skier skids across the top of a rock before disappearing down the side of the mountain. The camera pulls back to reveal him skiing in a pint of halo top— the snow is ice cream and the moguls are chocolate chips. The pint spins around to the front to reveal the iconic packaging and front logo.
VO: “Whatever it is he’s having… you can have it too. With high protein and low sugar, feeling good has never tasted better. Halo Top.”
