Runners rate and review individual restroom sites to inform (or warn) other runners.
Businesses that offer their facilities to runners receive a small portion of TheRuns monthly fees.
(This is a great option for runners in big cities!)
TheRuns will also be Strava compatible, allowing users to mark sites along their favorite saved routes (and share with their fellow sufferers.)
Running has transformed my life… and my gastrointestinal tract.
Since I began moving my legs fast for long distances, I’ve found myself in some extremely dire bathroom situations. I’ve scarred local shrubbery. Wrestled public restrooms. Become a honing pigeon for the lone porta-john.
It’s gross, but it’s the truth. Ask any runner and they’ll tell you— the GI impact is no joke.
I wanted to do something about it.
So instead of seeing a real doctor, I made a fake app.
INTRODUCING…
Similar to Waze’ community-based algorithm, runners can log local restrooms sites into TheRuns database.
The app will then help other users locate the nearest bathroom at any moment throughout their run.
Runners can save their favorite spots to remember for their regular routes.
And update the activity status of sites (especially portable ones).
TheRuns also has a monthly subscription service that allows users to access less public areas like restaurants, cafes, and office buildings.
